To Hell With Circumstances, I Create Opportunities.
I did the usual tweaks & pokes, incl. some added effects to De La's "Rock Co.Kane Flow," and the audience interaction on Ghostface's "Be Easy." I think New Jack on the looped opening to "Word Up" worked out better than I expected, and some of the blends went pleasantly well together.
And in case you're wondering ... 47:53. It should be up on the dumpin.net site soon, so be on the lookout for the voting poll to go up. Some douche named "booger" is beefing with me on their "secret clubhouse" message board. I swear, the more you try to get away from dumb message board bullshit, the more it manages to find you.

I figure I'll join in the beef. I haven't participated in enough online message board crap in a while.
Just finished the mix. Very nicely put together. The New Jack cameo into......Cameo was very well done. Great choice on the Cypress Hill track as well.
"Booger" is Brent.
Are you serious?
So much for joining the beef. I think there is a cliche about sleeping dogs and new tricks and all that.
I read booger's reply in Nate's thread about removing vox from tracks and the structure and phrasing of the post looked familiar, at which point I remembered the welcome thread for booger in which it was pointed out that booger is Burke.
Back on topic, though, I listened to the mixtape. I dig it. I recognized the Ice Cube and Cypress Hill tracks from their beef and Ghostface's "Be Easy" (did you add the laugh track to that?). The rest of it was good, but I don't know what the songs are. A list would help.
Yes, I added the laugh track; I'm kinda proud of that, 'cause it was a bit of inspiration that just hit me.
Sometime this weekend, I'll add both the contest mixtapes to the audio site (and I need to get you money, too ...). When I add those, I'll list the tracks.
Just listened to the mix. Pretty dope man. I was going to throw that De La joint in too but didn't at the last minute. Good luck!
Thanks for the good words, everybody! I'm proud of this one, and I hope it does pretty well. Welcome to the laboratory, What It Is; I appreciate the feedback.
