I wonder which TV show wins for most hyped (and probably most underwhelming) television show on the horizon:
1) "Dirt" on FX, where Courtney Cox gets to reprise her "Scream" role, but instead of being "Gail Weathers," her character is "Lucy Spiller" (ah ... spiller of "Dirt" ... I get it, ha ha ha ... ahem, heh, heh ... yeah, well);
2) that ABC show where people are planning to rob Mick Jagger, starring that moron from VH1's "I Love the 80's" that apparently thought he was pretty funny (despite what other people probably tell him).
Me, I'm voting for "Dirt." At approx. 3 ads per every commercial break (granted, I've only observed this during their daily hour block of "King Of The Hill"), that's a lot of opportunities to hype ... nothing, as the commercials only show Courtney Cox, the title of the show, and the song "Digging in the Dirt" by Peter Gabriel plays ad nauseum. On ABC, that Mick Jagger show has commercials during every break, but the edge goes to "Dirt," as there was a huge billboard for it during the "Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve" block party. That Mick Jagger show can't compete with that.
I'm expecting "Dirt" to be train-wreck TV at its finest, right up there with "Nip/Tuck" and its ilk.

It's hard to say if "Dirt" will be as bad as Nip/Tuck. F/X is usually pretty good with their original series. The Shield is one of the best shows of the last decade (with season 6 starting as soon as Dirt goes off the air), Rescue Me and Thief are/were ok. Nip/Tuck for some reason gets a lot of good press even though I think it is the most overrated/unwatchable shows on right now.
