You never know who you will sit behind at breakfast.
According to mi padre, the Tri-Cities is becoming a retirement destination for folks from Florida, California, and the Northeast. Asheville was a primo destination for these people in the mid-to-late 1990s, and apparently they have bought up all the good real estate and they are moving up I-26 to JC and Kingsport.
Eating with my parents on the day before my return to the 352, I sat behind Dick Warlock. He is one of these recent migrants who is also apparently a well-known stuntman. He played, among other characters, Michael Myers from Halloween. He was joined that day by one of his sons visiting from out of town Billy Warlock. Billy is evidently a soap opera star who was the short male lifeguard in the early days of Baywatch (pre-Pam Anderson). We realized we were next to acting royalty when a 20-something girl walked up to them and said "I know who you are. Can I have your autograph." After asking our waitress discreetly, the retired couple evidently eats breakfast at the same place regularly.

Now, I wonder what kind of opposition you would face if you tried to list this info on Wikipedia, under "Notable Residents?"
