Book Recommendation

NP - Placebo - Running Up That Hill

(See what I did there? Its the return of the NP feature)

If you have some time to kill and want to read a well-written book that is interesting and about 100 pages too long, read Neal Gabler's biography of Walt Disney. It just came out in paperback a few months ago and is likely still in every Borders And Noble A Million in your current locale. Sharp analysis, though he might be a bit long on details in the early days that aren't really germane to the story.

I'm about 150 pages into it and so far he paints Disney as a man very adept at hiding his insecurities behind his old-fashioned Protestant work ethic and his self-created image of the happy-go-lucky American boy. The moral of the story for me at this point how many times Disney failed before he got it right.
