Doesn't look too bad. I'm disappointed by the lack of Austin vs. Undertaker from Summerslam 1998, as well as the absences of Angle and Benoit (but, I do understand). Now, if they cut out the fan interference by the young man with Down's Syndrome during the Austin/Michaels KOTR match, we riot.

Two things I'd like to see on this: first, the classic yet unremembered appearance on Livewire from 1996. I just spent about an hour searching for any information on that appearance and found that it was broadcast October 19, 1996. Utilizing the power of the Internet I'm going to try and track this down, but chances are the only copy of this that ever existed outside of the WWE Tape Library is the one Jake recorded of the broadcast, which Brent borrowed and never returned. You can read a recap here, but it's more of something to see than read about.

Second, a recap of one of my favorite Austin moments: when Steve saved Stephanie from a forced marriage to the Undertaker. The setup was perfect. Undertaker kidnaps Stephanie at the start of Raw and declares that they will be married by the end of the night and nothing will stand in his way. Everyone knows only one man can save the day and that man is Steve Austin. But Austin is a loner and he isn't doing anyone any favors, especially not Vince McMahon. Vince, Shane, and various others approach Steve and beg for his help during the course of the show, but Austin continually refuses to intervene. Moments before the ceremony begins, Austin finally comes to the rescue armed only with a baseball bat and a big can of whoop-ass.

That said, it looks pretty good with what it has. I can understand omitting the Chris Benoit stuff, even though Benoit's murder/suicide doesn't change the fact that Steve and Chris had awesome matches. I don't however, agree with leaving the Kurt Angle matches out. That Angle is currently a top guy in TNA is just a convenient excuse to release yet another Austin or Angle DVD set in the future.
