Go see it!
This is one of the good Marvel movies. Downey is great. Paltrow and Howard are vastly underutilized, meaning that we will get at least one sequel. I could have done without "The Dude" as the main bad guy, but it was very, very good for a franchise starter.
Stay through the ending credits. If, and this is probably a big IF, but if the thing they tease comes true it will be amazing.

Yes. I have read up on the tease, and it appears quite awesome. And while I've read about "Iron Man 2," "Hulk," and their involvement in a different Marvel movie in the future, I'm extremely excited for what the future of comic films will be.
Now, on to "Iron Man 2," and I've read some awesome interviews with Robert Downey Jr., where he says that he's eager to portray Stark's crippling alcoholism. And I would honestly expect that to be Oscar-caliber. Plus, it'd be great to see the Mandarin fully realized on the screen. Ken Watanabe, stand by the phone, bruh.
I was racking my brain today to think who his major bad guy was and I forgot all about the Mandarin. I would bet on Daniel Dae Kim from Lost in that role.
Also heard tale that they make a spin-off with Terrance Howard as War Machine. He said that they purposely inserted a scene where he looks at an Iron Man prototype and says "Maybe next time."
At least they are being smarter about this this time. Unlike Daredevil, they know these movies have legs and you could probably do 52 Marvel movies a year and they would all be box office smashes.
