Will the Sitcom return?

You know the song, "Video Killed The Radio Star"? I think Reality TV has killed the sitcom

I know you have heard this or at least thought this yourself. I mean how many different types of reality TV do we need? Is it Entertainment to watch someone sing or dance and have David Hasselhoff rant about it? I mean I miss the storytelling and the magic of the sitcom where problems can be solved in a mere 30 minute show. I long for the days when Gary Coleman says "what you talkin' about Willis?

I have to agree. When "Tyler Perry's House of Payne" is touted as the #1 sitcom on cable television in their commercials, that's a sad state of affairs where sitcoms are concerned.

Reality TV reflects how sick society has become. The general public is no longer entertained by people pretending to be shitheads stuck in pretend fucked-up situations; they'd rather be entertained by real people putting their esteem on the line in real fucked-up situations & showing the world how truly fucking stupid/ retarded/ hostile/ backwards/ evil people can be when pushed. And when we see a person's inner torments revealed, we can't help but laugh and laugh and laugh.

And it's because of reality TV that fucking garbage like "Two and a Half Men" makes it to four and five seasons, because if you'd rather watch Charlie Sheen than "America's Got Talent," something is dramatically wrong with the vertical hold.
