Fox to cancel "King of the Hill."
Ah, 13 seasons, it was a good run. I have to add that I think this was the most consistently enjoyable television show that I think I've ever seen ... at least it ranks pretty high. Once Cotton Hill died, I think I saw this day coming sooner than later.
And maybe this will lead to more of the seasons being released on DVD, since they seemed to skid to an abrupt halt with Season 6 a few years ago.

That sucks! I mean their have been rumors or whatever that they were going to cancel the show years back. I love the show, but I agree with you. Maybe they will put out the rest of the show on DVD.
I read the link and "American Dad" is no "Family Guy". It will be interesting to see how the Cleveland spin off will be when it debuts next year.
I must say that I've grown increasingly fond of "American Dad," as it loses some of the non-sensical, almost show-halting asides that used to be endearing on "Family Guy."
There was one where Stewie imagined hanging out with Jesus, and it amounted to Stewie watching Jesus take a bath, and Jesus turning around, seeing Stewie, and going ahead and washing himself anyway. And I'm all for shocking humor & all things being fair game for humor, but it wasn't really that funny. And lately, "Family Guy" would be a lot funnier if they'd stay away from the majority of their cutaway gags.
The previous "American Dad," where Stan and Francine got divorced, was pretty choice. There was a lot of gold to be mined in that episode, the pinnacle of which was when Stan was hitting on some bar chicks:
Stan (approaches woman, then yells): INTERCOURSE!
Woman: Excuse me?
Stan: INTERCOURSE! I'M GOING TO HAVE INTERCOURSE WITH YOU! I'M DIVORCED SO IT'S TOTALLY OKAY!
(Woman leaves.)
Stan (to himself): Hm, seems I'm a bit rusty at this; I'll have to ease into it.
(A second woman approaches Stan.)
Stan (yells): FOREPLAY, THEN INTERCOURSE!
That shit still makes me smile.
True. I do enjoy American Dad but like Family Guy better. I could see that you could write for either show. You missed your calling man!
Anyway I heard that in January King of the Hill will join Adult Swim. I mean I know the show is in syndication everywhere but I think it fits into Adult Swim in the simple fact that is it a cartoon that caters to adults.
God bless animation!!!!
