Nate's Shower Thoughts, 6/21/10

An algebraic truism, by Professor Marley:

If No Woman = No Cry, rather (No)(Woman)=(No)(Cry), we can cancel out the No by division:

[(No)(Woman)]/No = [(No)(Cry)]/No

... which indicates that Woman = Cry.

You translated Marley's Patois too literally. What he is actually saying in the song is "No woman, don't cry."

That ranks right up there with thinking Hendrix is singing "'Scuse me, while I kiss this guy" in "Purple Haze."
