[TNA] Hard Justice Predictions

This actually looks like a decent card.

Raven vs. Frankie Kazarian: I'm going with Kazarian here, because he needs to get back into the X Division scene. And as far away from Matt Bentley/ Maverick Matt/ Michael Shane/ Martyr as possible. Plus, Raven looks like a fat AIDS patient.

The Murder City Machine Guns (Alx Shelley/ Chris Sabin) vs. Triple X (Christopher Daniels and/or Elix Skipper and/or Senshi) vs. Sonjay Dutt/ "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal: This has no business being a three-way; Lethal & Dutt should be revisiting Savage/ Steamboat circa 'Mania III, and the MCMGs should be facing the XXX team of Daniels/ Senshi. I'm putting my money on XXX here; Daniels is the #1 contender to the X title, too, so it'll be interesting to see what happens following the Angle/ Joe match.

Wildcat Chris Harris vs. Dustin "Black Reign" Rhodes: Rhodes will probably win. He shouldn't, because without Goldust, he ain't shit. But maybe Black Reign can become a whole new side of Rhodes that would prove just as formidable. Doubt it ...

Latin American Xchange (LAX - Homicide & Hernandez) vs. Billy Gunn & Road Dogg: LAX wins, as they should. Viva la revolucion!

Eric Young vs. Bobby Roode (Humiliation Match a/k/a Tar & Feather Match): Goddamn, let Eric Young win and be done with this shit. These two fucking guys have wrestled like 32 matches this year. Young needs to go X Division, and Roode needs to just get the fuck back to Canada.

Rhino vs. James Storm (Barroom Brawl): It's in an actual bar~! Whoo fuckin' hoo! Rhino lost last time, he'll win this time.

The Steiner Brothers vs. Team 3D: If Team 3D wins, we riot.

Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe (Winner Takes All - TNA World, TNA Tag, TNA X Division and IWGP titles on the line): Lessee, Angle's wife (kayfabe soon-to-be ex-wife) is going to be at ringside at the behest of Samoa Joe ... I smell a turn by Angle's wife to keep Joe from winning, which should be the fucking case. If Joe doesn't win, then it marks the second time that TNA will have seriously dropped the ball with a non-castoff (former WWF, WCW or ECW) name that would be able to carry the company to some degree of success (see, Brown, Monty "The Alpha Male"). If that happens, seriously it'll be hard not to say, "Fuck TNA." But I fear Angle's going over.

Sting, Abyss & Test (but not Test) vs. Christian Cage, Tyson Tomko, and AJ Styles (Doomsday Chamber of Blood - Cage match, no pinfalls will be counted unless the opponent is bleeding, #1 contender to the TNA World title): I LOVE this stip - again, "no pinfalls unless the opponent is bleeding." Man, that's awesome! Expect some wonderful levels of brutality, and Test will probably turn on Sting, because Sting is historically booked as the worst judge of character in wrestling history. But I'm expecting Sting wins, because AJ is played out, Tomko ain't a contender, Christian will probably be due a win later, but not right now, Test will be a douche, and Abyss is due to meet Judas Mesias, so expect that to get kickstarted at Hard Justice. That will make either Sting vs. Joe or vs. Angle, and Sting vs. Angle will be the only thing worth Angle winning.

That card looks decent, but it also looks like it was put together on that old computer sim Extreme Wrestling Revenge, but in the wrong way. Why are the TAG TITLES on the line in a singles match when you have three decent TAG matches on the card? It's pretty funny that four titles are on the line in one match, but doesn't that blur the distinction between the importance of certain titles? Which title means more, the TNA World or X division? Is the TNA Tag title as important as the World title?

The Steiners and The Dudleys have as much heat as they can get, so why are they booked against each other? They need to be elevationg new, homegrown TNA teams.

And I can't believe Sting is still going at it. That's just odd.

The angle with the Steiners & Dudz is that it's a dream match, and seeing as how there are so few of those left anymore, it makes sense for TNA to offer this one.

As for the title match, at Victory Road there was a "champions match," where all the titles were on the line - X Division, World, and Tag - between Angle & Joe vs. the Dudleys. The thing with the tag straps was, whoever pinned the Dudley won not only the straps, but he could pick his own partner to hold the tag straps with him. Joe won, but before he can pick his partner, he has to face Angle for all the gold. And if that makes little sense, let's not even get started on how the "IWGP" title (that isn't really the IWGP title) factors into all of this.

However, the plus is that there are some ready made matches and feuds for the aftermath of Hard Justice:

- Christopher Daniels is the #1 contender for the X Division title.

- The winner of the Doomsday Chamber of Blood match will be the #1 contender to the World title. The only viable choices here are Sting, Christian, or Abyss, but Abyss is going to be facing Judas Mesias, so it probably won't be Abyss.

- There are, as you already noted, some very good tag teams waiting in the wings for their shot at the tag straps, and I'm thinking that it'll be whoever the champs are vs. the winner of the Steiners/ Dudz match, or the winner of the XXX/ MCMGs/ Dutt/Lethal match.

- Of course, I'm sure one or two of the titles will be held up, for a tourney or multi-man match or some such.

- And the ersatz IWGP title just needs to hop a plane back to Japan.

Ok, I get the Steiner/Dudz match now. That's actually a cool idea, but the winner should be whoever needs the heat to legitifyamize the tag division.

The use of the Tag Titles as a plot device for the Angle/Joe match reeks of Russo's Crash TV or Heyman's Patented Overbooking. And they should have the winner defend both titles on the same show; open the card with the X match and close with the World match. Joe and Angle are both believable for that. What they should do for the Tag Titles is have the winner choose the loser as the other Tag partner as a sign of respect and then the loser turns on the winner when they defend the titles.

I wonder if TNA bought the IWGP strap from Lesnar, since he was holding onto it because he claimed NJPW screwed him out of money.
