Billy Bob Thornton. I enjoyed "Sling Blade" a great bit, but I cannot say I really watched any of his other movies. I mean he will be remembered more for his love affair or marriage or whatver to Angelina Jolie.
What were some of his other good movies, if any?

"Friday Night Lights" and "Bandits" were pretty good movies. Also, "Pushing Tin" with John Cusack. Thorton has enough credibility as a writer/actor to overcome the notoriety of his relationship with Angelina Jolie, espcially now that she's with Brad Pitt.
Also, checking Wikipedia, it appears that Thornton is a first cousin of Terry and Dory Funk, Jr.
Honestly, I'm not a fan of Thornton, but he was pretty good in "Simple Plan." Ooh, ooh, and he wasn't too bad in "Man Who Wasn't There." I think the strength of those two films were more the directors' work (Raimi & Coen, respectively) than Thornton though.
