We're on our fourth year at this joint? Not bad.
Anyone made any resolutions for 2008, or have resolutions (like April Fools' pranks) become passe? I jotted down a few that I'll post up in the comments section later, once we're unpacked from our various trips to and fro.
I think resolutions, if you aren't making them with the self-fulfilling propohecy that you'll break 'em anyway, are very good methods by which to orchestrate some important characterological changes. A new year marks a milestone by which you can measure your progress through life. A few years back, I told myself that I'd try to write on the blog every day, which I actually did all right with, up until my appendectomy.
At any rate, I have an SGM-specific resolution - one that I share with at least two other scientists, according to my emails in the past few days - that I'm going to try to hold myself to for 2008.
